It's been a while since I have blogged ....in that time I have done and seem a lot..

This was the castle we stayed in for 2 weeks. Its not like castles in England. Its basically a very big house. the owners let us rent the small 2 storey apartment on the right hand side.

This is another castle but is called a fortified manor house. It still has people living in it. It also has a moat and a gate house to stop robbers from the old days. There are lots of these as you drive around.

We visited a war museum that was in a citadel on top of a cliff above a town. There were graves here from World War 2.

We caught the cable car down the cliff into the town and back up again. This was once a dangerous place to live and dates back to the year 1000AD. There have been many different wars here over the years.
